1st thing the content of this video is acquired from the internet, I do not have the whole movie. I do not want to commit any copyright offense so this video might be deleted if flagged inappropriate. The purpose of this video is only to show one of the battlescenes in the movie.This is the first battle scene (there are lots) from Feng Xiaogang's war film The Assembly (Ji Jie Hao). It is a film about the Chinese Civil War from a Communist perspective. What makes the film differ from other Civil War films is that it depcits it as what it was-a bloody tragic conflict between men instead of some dramatic mass charge full of glory and victory.The movie is based on a novel called "A Legal Case". It is about a Civil War veteran (former PLA soldier) toiled for decades,looking forward to redeem the honor of his KIA comrades. Those people were listed by official as POW or even traitors. It is a true story,the real person's name is Wang Ai Fu. The old man died before the movie came out, in poverty, sickness and loneliness. At the end the captain wants the soldiers to shoot the nationalist in revenge for the death of there commander but the soldiers wont kill the prisoners

@TheHtjohn dude.. the total strength of the communist 'armed' forces were 400-500 thousand. It reached a million because most of the casualties were civilians.
