Great video, I love the Shaker style. Of course, the key to Shaker decor is minimalism. You can't have a ton of stuff and have a true Shaker-style decor.

You live in one of my favorite places in the world. It must be wonderful! As for the Shaker village, that sounds fascinating. I've heard about that community. Thanks for sharing! -- Meghan

Interesting. I live along the coast of southern Maine, approx. 25 miles away from a working Shaker village. Not operated by a trust, but operated by the Shakers themselves. It is the Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village in New Gloucester, Maine: the last working Shaker community in the world.

Unfortunately, no. It was filmed in Harrodsburg, KY at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill. I hope you have a wonderful trip to South Union! Best wishes,Meghan

Was this filmed at South Union in Russelville? If so...my family is going there next week. We live just a couple of towns over. Very interesting.
