it's real...the movement of the pen is captured by cameras and creates a 3d model, that is what you see during the "building process", and then this virtual model is printed with a 3d laser printer...

@ondro8911 it's a technique i believe that is called motion capture. they set the tip of the pen to be tracked and tell the pc to add a white trail to where ever the pen goes

Performance design! Nice vid...I think it's done with some sort of 3D plotter, that thing shes holding, then superimposed afterwards onto the actual video (you can see sometimes her hand goes through the thing). And that chair emerging from magic goo...so weird, looks like a Rapid Prototyping machine...we have one at uni that uses powder, it's like magic. Bloody expensive gear though. Cool stuff;) |
